Each year, the College of Architecture and Planning (CAP) buildings transform into galleries and exhibition spaces to showcase graduating students’ end-of-year projects. From architectural models to Victorian-themed games, innovative design projects to professional planning projects, the students have the opportunity to showcase their hard work and the skills they have mastered while earning their degrees.

Division of Games Launch Event
Hosted in the undergraduate Games Building on campus, the Game’s Launch Event is a student expo displaying over 30 games designed and promoted by student teams. Featured games include traditional play games, as well as alternative controller games requiring full-body participation. The diversity in approaches to the creation of student games exemplifies the faculty’s commitment to innovative design.

End-of-Year Showcase
Architecture, Design, and Planning participate in the annual End-of-Year Showcase, an event held the evening before convocation that puts student work on display and provides an opportunity for the Departments to celebrate their students.
Multi-Disciplinary Design transformed the Einar Nielsen Fieldhouse to showcase student work, including unique hiking footwear, innovative children’s toys, and a women’s health app addressing underserved health conditions. The event concluded with awards celebrating outstanding student achievement.
Concurrently, in the Architecture Building, School of Architecture and City and Metropolitan Planning students displayed their designs, models, and planning posters addressing challenges across our community for an audience of family, friends, and faculty. Both Departments presented student awards and highlighted the successes of their graduates.
